Tony Banks

Board Member

Mr. Banks has been a Mountain Meadows Board Member since its inception in 2003. Mr. Banks has a background in Mortgage Banking and Apartment Management. He is currently a member of the Leavenworth Rotary Club and volunteers at Community Cupboard, which is an organization originally formed as a food bank by area churches in 1983. The Cupboard now includes a food bank, thrift store, and Emergency Family Assistance services.

Tony and his wife of over 40 years have lived in Leavenworth since 2001. He enjoys skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, bicycling and swimming, as well as being one of the founding board members. Tony says, “I am proud to be a Board Member of Mountain Meadows which is professionally operated by a superior team of managers and employees whose goal is to provide the ultimate in assisted card, independent care and memory care services to those who need such care in the Leavenworth community.”

Sally Bauer

Ms. Bauer is a former Teacher in the Wenatchee School District, was the Ordering Manager for the U.S. Forest during the 1994 and 2000 Fires, and was an Adjunct Professor for Central Washington University.

Sally has lived in the Wenatchee Valley area for over 40 years and is currently involved as President in the Wenatchee Valley Antique Doll Club, Committee Member of the Distinguished Young Women of Leavenworth and a Patron of the Leavenworth Summer Theater.

Mr. Blackburn is the owner of Blackburn Financial, a financial planning and investment management firm based in Cashmere, WA. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors at Mountain Meadows, which he has since 2007, Brad is a past-President of the Leavenworth Rotary Club as well as Cashmere Youth Soccer. Currently Mr. Blackburn also serves on the Leavenworth Summer Theater Board.

Brad has lived in the Leavenworth area since 2003 and given the slightest opportunity, will spend his free time enjoying the abundant natural beauty in the mountains surrounding Mountain Meadows.

Glenda-devore

Glenda DeVore

Board Member

Ms. DeVore has lived in Leavenworth since 1995, moving from Alaska where she was Administrative Assistant for various department heads of ARCO Alaska, Inc. Once settled in Leavenworth, Glenda worked for the Administrator of Cascade Medical Center and supported the Board of Commissioners as well as some department heads, retiring in 2000.

Glenda is a founding Board Member of Mountain Meadows. She also volunteers for the Chelan County Fire District #3 Auxiliary, is a member of Beta Sigma Phi, an International Organization for Women. Her hobbies include quilting, card making, as well as other crafts.

Ms. Forhan is a co-owner and advertising director for NCW Media, Inc. which includes newspapers, websites and visitor guides, including The Leavenworth Echo, Cashmere Valley Records, Lake Chelan Mirror, Quad City Herald, Brewster and the Wenatchee Business Journal along with 3 visitor guides and websites for each newspaper, as well as the Green Internet Directory www.ncwbizlink.com. Carol is an active ordained Deacon at St. James Episcopal Church in Cashmere, WA. She has lived in the Wenatchee Valley area since 2000 with her husband Bill, two grown sons, two grandchildren and one cat.

As well as being a Board Member of Mountain Meadows, Carol is active in the American Association for the Diaconate, various church organizations and Think Local First. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren as well as Bible study, photography, reading and music.

Grace Lynch

Board Member

Ms. Lynch is a retired Nurse with Central Washington Hospital, Wenatchee Valley Clinic and Washington State Public Health. She attended the University of Washington and Washington State University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.

Grace has served on many Boards such as Wenatchee Valley College, Central Washington Hospital, Wenatchee Symphony, Association of University Women Branch and Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center. She enjoys the piano, reading, skiing, swimming, cooking, travel and spending time with her family.

Marcia-patten

Marcia Patten

Board Member

Ms. Patten moved to Leavenworth from California’s Silicon Valley in 2004. Marcia has had three diverse careers; a teacher for the blind and visually impaired; a helicopter pilot and a technical writer and editor of chemical engineering patents.

Marcia has served on the Board for Mountain Meadows since 2007, as well as being an active volunteer with the Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce for its many festivals.

Lin-renberg

Lin Renberg

Board Member

Ms. Renberg has lived in Leavenworth since 1971, and all three of her children attended Leavenworth Schools. She retired from Central Washington Hospital in 2010 and previously served on the Boards for Leavenworth Junior Miss and Wenatchee habitat for Humanity and was a member of Wenatchee Sunrise Rotary.

Lin has been on the Board of Directors of Alpenblick Homeowner’s Association since 1992 and is currently their President and Manager. She attends Cornerstone Bible Church and enjoys reading, cross country skiing, needlework, walking, travel and spending time with her grandchildren.

Darren-rylaarsdan

Darrin Rylaarsdam

Board Member

Mr. Rylaarsdam has lived and worked in Leavenworth since 1999 and joined the Mountain Meadows Board in February 2008. He began his career in Leavenworth as a lender at Cashmere Valley Bank and is currently an Assistant Vice President for the bank. Darrin graduated from Pacific Coast Banking School in 2010, held on the campus of his alma mater, the University of Washington.

Darrin is married to his lovely wife, Nery and together they have four children. He is actively involved in the Leavenworth Church of the Nazarene where he serves as a Steward on the church board.

Suzanne-vanderwerff

Suzanne Vanderwerff

Board Member

Ms. Vanderwerff joined the Mountain Meadows Board in October 2009. She has lived in the Leavenworth area since the early 2000’s and is currently the Senior Director of the Revenue Cycle for Seattle Children’s Hospital, where she has been in a leadership role since 1993.

Suzanne holds a Master’s degree in Health Administration from the University of Minnesota.

Jon-wheeler

Jon Wheeler

Board Member

Mr. Wheeler joined the Mountain Meadows Board in 2004 and currently serves as President of the board. Jon is President of Jon D. Wheeler, PS, a CPA firm specializing in estate planning, organization planning services and litigation support. He also served as interim Chief Executive Officer of the Cascade Medical Center in Leavenworth in 2009.

Jon and his wife Margaret have made Leavenworth their home since 1983.
